Description
Secretary NAPOLEON III blackened pear with brass inlays in the style Louis XVI, nets and central motif decorated with musical instruments, leaves and knot on the flap.
White marble top surrounded by a carved bronze molding.
It opens with a drawer in the upper part, a flap and three drawers in the lower part.
The flap discovers a rosewood interior with marquetry of light and tinted wood on the front of the 3 small drawers. It is covered with a black leather with gold sticker (changed) and is 72cm from the ground.
Numerous bronze fittings: high and low falls, locks entrances, carved moldings and it rests on 4 feet "spinning top" those of the front decorated with bronze.
Period: second half of the nineteenth
Perfect condition after restoration, stripping and finishing with varnish stamp in our workshop. Removal of all bronzes, cleaning and resting.
